NEW YORK, NY (April 16, 2018) – The food fanatics at Thrillist are teaming up with The Meatball Shop and Project Foodie, the cookbook of the future, to bring audiences exclusive recipes and a special off-menu limited-time dessert offering -- marking the first-of-its-kind partnership between a media company, restaurant and cooking platform.
The collaboration will kick off with the season finale episode of “$30 Dinner Party”, Thrillist’s hit series where host Lee Kalpakis shows audiences how to throw killer dinner parties on the cheap. The Meatball Shop’s Chef and Founder Daniel Holzman will join Lee and create his own $30 Dinner Party menu for the episode, which will air Monday, April 16 at 2:30pm ET on Thrillist’s YouTube channel, and Facebook Watch page. Chef Holzman’s $30 Dinner Party menu includes: homemade Italian sausage and pepper sliders on garlic bread; orecchiette with mint, peas and ricotta; and a nutella & banana brioche sandwich.
Fans in the NYC area can taste Holzman’s Nutella & Banana Brioche Sandwich for a limited time (starting today through April 22) at all The Meatball Shop locations.
For foodies outside of the tri-state area, the Nutella & Banana Brioche Sandwich will be featured in an easy-to-follow, cooking tutorial on Holzman’s Project Foodie app where consumers can also directly purchase the Thrillist x The Meatball Shop dessert ingredients.

About The Meatball Shop:
The Meatball Shop first opened its doors on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 2010, and has since opened five additional locations in Manhattan and Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Founded by childhood best friends Chef Daniel Holzman and restaurateur Mike Chernow, The Meatball Shop is made of all things good, much like the meatball itself. The Meatball Shop mashes a high-energy environment, fun-loving staff and family-friendly atmosphere with its iconic mix-and-match menu. The Meatball Shop offers five varieties of meatballs, including classic beef, pork, chicken, veggie, and the daily special, all crafted with responsibly sourced ingredients, to pair with house-made sauces: classic tomato, pesto, parmesan cream, spicy meat, and mushroom gravy. Guests then choose if they’d like their meatballs naked with a side, over pasta or veggies, on a Kitchen Sink salad (greens with seasonally rotating vegetable and grain sides), in a Hero (on a toasted baguette), or a Smash (on a brioche roll with melted mozzarella or provolone!) The Meatball Shop also offers a variety of side dishes, including seasonal veggies, freshly-milled polenta, rigatoni, or risotto. For dessert, freshly baked cookies and house-made ice cream can be ordered a la cart or layered for an ice cream sandwich. A meal at The Meatball Shop isn't complete without a drink (or two!) from their cocktail menu, all crafted in house with seasonal ingredients and of course a little humor. A selection from The Meatball Shop’s meticulously curated wine list, which includes their house red and white, blended by The Meatball Shop experts and their partnered vineyards in France and Italy is always a great option.
