Thrillist Taps Into Travel Industry; Partners With For The Love of Travel

NEW YORK, NY (June 27, 2018) – Thrillist announced today a partnership with boutique, millennial travel company, For The Love of Travel, to launch “The City Series” -- unique, Thrillist-curated weekend trips to 10 U.S. cities. The program leverages Thrillist’s deep local expertise to create one-of-a-kind experiences for its audience of eager, young travelers, as well as For The Love of Travel’s expertise in making travel special, social and hassle-free for millennial jetsetters.

The collaboration caters to both partners’ millennial demographic -- a generation known for prioritizing experiences with friends over acquiring possessions and expecting high-quality and efficient service. Among this demographic, 70% indicated that they expect special places to offer immersive experiences that are interactive and hands-on; 58% of the cohort -- 20% higher than older generations -- prefer to travel with friends; and 33% say they intend to utilize a travel agent over the next two years -- twice as many as Gen Xers and Baby Boomers (Source: HVS Global Hospitality ServicesMMGY Global).
