NEW YORK, NY (November 13, 2017) – Thrillist celebrates the best food the country has to offer with the launch today of its annual Best New Restaurants in America. Khushbu Shah, Thrillist’s Sr. Food & Drink Editor, took to the road over the past 12 months, eating at over 80 of the country’s best restaurants, engaging with top chefs, and exploring the latest culinary trends in order to compile this year’s Prime 13. These 13 restaurants represent the absolute best and unrivaled offerings in the United States across the current food landscape.
In addition to the Prime 13, Thrillist has also announced five of the best chefs in America in 2017: Daniela Sotto-Innes of New York City’s Atla, Evan Funke of Los Angeles’s Felix, Brandon Jew of San Francisco’s Mister Jiu, and David and Anna Posey of Chicago’s Elske.
To honor these extraordinary restaurants and chefs, Thrillist has today launched a special Best New Restaurants website. The site features in-depth written reviews of the Prime 13 alongside video profiles of select restaurants. The site also profiles each of the five top chefs, including video interviews with Sotto-Innes, Jew and The Poseys. Rounding out the robust celebration of the 2017 restaurant scene, Thrillist has also singled out the best restaurants in each of the online publisher’s 32 American markets.
In no particular order, here are Thrillist’s 2017 Best New Restaurants in America:
