NEW YORK – (March 23, 2021) – IZZY’S KOALA WORLD season two premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, April 20. The series was created for Dodo Kids by The Dodo, the no. 1 animal brand globally on social, and produced in association with Nomadica Films. IZZY’S KOALA WORLD season two follows the life of now 12-year old Izzy Bee as she continues her efforts to rescue and rehabilitate koalas for release with the help of her parents.
Izzy Bee lives on Magnetic Island off the coast of Australia. Known affectionately as the Koala Whisperer, Izzy lives with her veterinarian Mom, Ali, her Dad, Tim, and their dog, Princess, at their family home, which doubles as a sanctuary for displaced koalas. When koalas on Magnetic Island need help, Izzy and her family welcome them into their home and nurture them until they’re ready to go back to the wild. Season two will continue following the family as they build remarkable friendships with koalas including baby Chompy from season one, while spotlighting the impact of the Australian wildfires and reminding us of the extraordinary magic of the human and animal connection.
“We’re thrilled that another season of Izzy’s Koala World is coming to Netflix as the show underscores The Dodo’s mission to create feel-good, uplifting stories about animals and the humans who love them,” said Dave Glauber, Creative Lead for Dodo Kids. “It’s gratifying to see that Izzy resonates with Netflix's massive global audience and that her ability to care deeply about koalas is inspiring a new generation of animal rescuers and everyday heroes.”
IZZY’S KOALA WORLD is produced for Netflix by Group Nine Studios and The Dodo, in partnership with Nomadica Films.
