Seeker Premieres New Original Series - "Wild Moms" - To Celebrate Animal Mothers This Mother's Day Weekend

Company Release
May 11, 2018

NEW YORK, NY (May 11, 2018) – Seeker, the no. 1 most-engaged science media brand in the U.S. on social, today announced the premiere of its new animated series Wild Moms -- hosted by animal sex and motherhood expert, Dr. Carin Bondar. As the no. 1 science creator on Facebook Watch with hit shows like Wild Sex, Seeker will premiere the spinoff series on Watch today, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Wild Moms will consist of 10 mid-form episodes released each Friday on the “Seeker Wild” Facebook Watch page. The series takes viewers around the world, from matriarchal heroes in the vast, open ocean to inside the pouch of loving kangaroos and highlights just how far these moms will go for the sake of their children. From sperm competition and ritualistic mating to baby buns, bumps and births, nothing is off limits as Seeker opens a dialogue around animal moms.

"Building off of our audience’s reaction to our work with Dr. Carin Bondar on Wild Sex, we saw an opportunity to tap into another area of Bondar's expertise -- mothering in the wild. Wild Moms brings Bondar's research to life in a unique, highly visual, storybook-like design not typically seen in science storytelling,” said Seeker's Chief Content Officer, Caroline Smith. "As the no. 1 science publisher on Facebook Watch, it's clear that our audience is eager to learn more about the world around them through our programming, which also includes Focal Point, Science in the Extremes and Space Crafts."
