NEW YORK – March 26, 2020 – POPSUGAR, the #1 most engaged-with Women’s Lifestyle site in the U.S. [Source: Comscore, November 2019], announced today that its largest experiential event, “Play/Ground,” will be rescheduled from Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2020 to later this fall due to the growing concerns over public health and safety and the escalation of COVID-19.
“We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and reviewing guidance and advice from public health officials including the CDC and the WHO. The safety of our fans, guests, staff, vendors, and brand partners are of the utmost importance to us,” said POPSUGAR Founder and President, Lisa Sugar. “We have decided it is in the best interest of all of our community to postpone Play/Ground and we look forward to announcing headline talent later this summer.”
New dates and confirmed venue location will be announced soon with headliners, brand partners, exhibitors and ticket sales to follow in the coming months. All pre-sale tickets will be honored for the new dates.
Building on the festival’s two-year success, Play/Ground 2020 is expected to draw more than 15,000 women to experience the ultimate female-led weekend of programming spanning fitness classes, discovery-driven shopping, inspirational panels, and entrepreneurial and life coaching seminars. New immersive “villages” and booths will bring brand partners to life and allow attendees to discover and engage with bold facets of the multi-hyphenate female, including sex and relationships, fertility, menstrual health, sports, gaming, politics, and more.
