NowThis Unionizes with the Writers Guild of America, East

NEW YORK, NY – (October 27, 2020) – Today, NowThis and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) released a joint statement after the newsroom formed a union, which NowThis voluntarily recognized.

”NowThis and the Writers Guild of America, East both share the goal of furthering the growth and success of NowThis employees. We understand and value the role collective bargaining can play in newsrooms. We are pleased to have come together to affirm our commitment to reaching a fair and equitable agreement in the best interest of NowThis’ employees. We look forward to working together in good faith to put in place a collective bargaining agreement as soon as possible.”
