New York, NY (November 15, 2017) – In a one-on-one interview with NowThis, Hillary Clinton commented for the first time on Trump’s call for a potential Department of Justice investigation into the so-called Uranium One issue, saying it should be considered an “abuse of power” that would be “a move away from us being a nation of laws toward a nation of men with political agendas.”
"This is about degrading our justice system, about using the Department of Justice for political purposes to make up a phony investigation about an opponent,” said Clinton.
In a one-on-one interview with NowThis Political Director Nico Pitney, Clinton urged the press to cover the potential investigation for what it really is.
"If we get into this unfortunate abuse of power with this Uranium One investigation, if that’s what they pursue, I hope the press sees it for what it is and covers it the way it should be covered, as a breach of the duty of the people charged with enforcing and executing our laws and a move away from us being a nation of laws toward a nation of men with political agendas.”
