NEW YORK, NY (July 26, 2018) – Group Nine Media, parent company of digital brands Thrillist, The Dodo, Seeker and NowThis, today named Rachel Baumgarten as EVP, Marketing. Through Baumgarten’s extensive media and agency experience, she has established deep expertise in developing creative solutions for clients, as well as crafting successful, industry-focused marketing strategies. Baumgarten will be responsible for stewardship of the company’s brand within the advertising industry, creating multi-faceted marketing initiatives for Group Nine and its portfolio of media brands, and leading its sales marketing activities as the company continues to broaden its offerings through custom, contextual and transactional media products.

Baumgarten has years of experience shaping corporate branding through client focused events and summits, as well as direct-to-client communications strategies. Most recently, Baumgarten was the Managing Director for Omnicom Media Group’s The Content Collective where she led the New York agency team’s existing portfolio of Omnicom Media Group clients including P&G, Carnival, GSK, JCP, Enterprise & Delta, in addition to new business efforts. In this role, Baumgarten oversaw the agency’s Final Front event, winning additional new clients and brokering successful partnership deals with publishers. Prior, Baumgarten served as SVP, Viacom Velocity Integrated Marketing at Viacom, where she worked for 16 years in various marketing positions.
