Group Nine Media Hires First Chief People Officer

Former EVP of Global HR at A+E Stacy Green Joins Leading Digital Media Company

NEW YORK, NY (January 18, 2018) – Group Nine Media is excited to announce that Stacy Green has joined as Chief People Officer responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive human resources strategy in support of the company’s business objectives, mission and vision. This will include talent development and operations, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, compliance, learning and development. Green will be based in the company’s New York City headquarters and will report to CEO Ben Lerer.

Green brings to Group Nine more than 20 years of experience transforming HR organizations at global, fast-paced companies into true drivers of effective leadership, strategic organizational alignment and business success. Most recently, Green served as the Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources and Facilities for A+E Networks where her team was honored with the 2016 Walter Kaitz Diversity Champion Award and the 2017 Goal Summit-Innovator of the Year Award. Prior to joining A+E, she held HR leadership roles at NBCUniversal and Revlon. She has also been an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), served on the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications’ (NAMIC) Advisory Board, the National Cable Televisions Associations’ (NCTA) Veterans Advisory Council and is a current board advisor for Creative Spirit (an organization dedicated to the employment of individuals with intellectual disabilities).

Group Nine Media formed in December of 2016 by merging Thrillist, The Dodo, NowThis and Seeker. In the year since the merger, Group Nine has grown to over 600 employees and projects continued strategic growth this year.
